Overview of school agreements 

In this document, you will find the most important agreements for parents and children at Villa Vrolik. 
This includes: 

  • Parking with a car or bicycle 
  • School times, arrival, walk-in, and pick-up
  • Rules for gym class
  • Use of mobile phones and other devices

School times, arrival, walk-in, and pick-up 

Arrival 

  • The school opens at 8:05
  • Lessons start at 8:15. We ask parents to make sure children are in the classroom by this time
  • Children can enter through the door on the large playground or through the main entrance on the Harry Banninkstraat. 

Walk-in (open classroom time) 

  • After every school holiday, there is a full week of walk-in for all groups. Parents may go into the classroom with their child until the lesson begins. 
  • For groups 1–2, there is extra walk-in every Monday and Wednesday. 

 

Pick-up 

  • Schoolday ends at 13:45
  • Groups 1–2: Children come outside through the door to the kindergarten schoolyard. Parents can wait on the schoolyard. Please keep some distance from the door so all groups can come out calmly
  • Groups 3–8: Children walk outside via the schoolyard. Parents can wait on the small field near the bicycle racks. Children leave through the side gate
  • After 14:00, the schoolyard is only for children of the after-school care (BSO). Other children may no longer play on the schoolyard. 

 

Rules for gym class 

Until the new gym hall is ready, children travel to the gym by bus. During gym class, the following rules apply: 

  • No jewelry 

Children may not wear jewelry during gym, except small earrings. This prevents accidents or getting stuck. Please make sure bracelets can be taken off easily. 

  • Gym shoes required 

Children must wear gym shoes with good grip that do not leave marks on the floor. This is safer for running, jumping, and climbing. 

  • Long hair tied up 

Long hair must be tied in a ponytail or braid. This helps children see better and prevents hair from getting caught in equipment or on others. 

  • Gym clothes 

Children wear comfortable gym clothes, such as a T-shirt and shorts. They change before and after the lesson. Please wash the gym clothes weekly. 

 

Use of Mobile Phones and Other Devices 

Mobile phones, smartwatches, and other devices 

  • It is best if children do not bring a mobile phone or smartwatch to school
  • If they do bring one, it must stay in their bag and turned off. They may only use it after school and outside the school grounds
  • The school is not responsible for loss or damage. 

 

If a student does not follow the rules 

  • First time: The teacher takes the device. It will be returned after school
  • Second time: The device is taken, and parents must pick it up. The teacher will contact the parents. 

 

During school trips and camp 

  • Children may not bring mobile phones on school trips or camp
  • This helps avoid problems such as broken devices, unwanted use of social media, or taking photos during school activities.
